Position: Manager - Accounts

Job Description:

  • Role Summary

The role holder’s main responsibility is to administer accounting operations and to ensure financial compliance. The incumbent will also be accountable for both accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee operations of accounts team
  • Responsible for preparation cash, bank, journal, purchase, contra & sales
  • Thorough with statutory compliance like timely payments of deducted and collected taxes viz Service Tax, Provident Fund, Income Tax, Labour departments
  • Undertake internal finance audits from time to time in order to ensure that the company accounts are being managed appropriately
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

 

  • Requirement and Skills
    • MBA in accounting or finance
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting/finance.
    • Extensive understanding of Indian Taxation
    • Extensive understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
    • Candidate should have SAP accounting knowledge
    • Should have experience in managing collections from customers
    • Proven account management or other relevant experience
    • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
    • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Excellent computer skills – MS Office
