Job Description

Position: Head – Operations

Job Location: Gurgaon / Narnaul

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure the FTO operates in accordance with DGCA regulations
    • Establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulations and ensure the FTO's compliance.
  • Safety Management:
    • Develop, implement, and oversee the FTO's Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, assess, and mitigate potential safety risks.
    • Promote a safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging reporting and proactive safety measures.
  • Operation Management:
    • Provide leadership and strategic direction to various departments within the FTO, including flight operations, training, maintenance, and administration.
    • Monitor and evaluate flight training activities to ensure they align with established standards and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain a quality management system to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of flight training operations.
    • Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Personnel Management:
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to achieve organizational goals.
    • Management of customer service and cadet welfare staff, including annual performance planning and review and day to day performance management
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including aviation authorities, industry organizations, and partners, to enhance the FTO's reputation and industry standing.
    • Maintain effective communication with regulatory bodies and address any inquiries or audits as necessary.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Develop and implement emergency response procedures to address unexpected events or incidents affecting flight training operations.
  • Managing all the functions of FTO including maintenance, CAMO, Quality, admin/operations.
  • Any other task assigned by Company’s Director. 

Requirement and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in flight operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational conditions.
